Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and execute high-quality food for a variety of events, ensuring consistency and adherence to client specifications. Oversee the setup, service, and breakdown of catering events, ensuring flawless execution and presentation. Manage inventory, place orders for ingredients and supplies, and maintain cost-effective purchasing practices. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen in compliance with health and safety regulations. Develop and manage schedules for kitchen staff, ensuring deadlines are met and events run smoothly. Collaborate with clients as needed to discuss menus, dietary requirements, and event details, delivering exceptional customer service. Work closely with the catering team to coordinate logistics and ensure a cohesive event experience. Requirements: Proven experience as a chef in a catering, restaurant, or similar high-volume kitchen environment. Strong culinary skills with expertise in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation for diverse events. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification or equivalent preferred). Experience managing inventory and ordering supplies efficiently. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions and team coordination. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules. Culinary degree or relevant training preferred but not required.
