Pet Store Direct is a dog grooming supply distribution company looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Building Keeper to maintain our Jupiter facility. This role includes a mix of janitorial and light handyman duties to keep our space clean, safe, and functioning smoothly for customers, team members, and our furry visitors. Our Company's Core Values: Do It Right, Always Deliver, Be Kind Position Summary: The Building Maintenance and Repair Technician is responsible for ensuring the facility remains clean, safe, and in good working condition. This role combines general building repair and preventative maintenance with daily janitorial duties, including cleaning, sanitizing, and upkeep of common areas. The technician plays a key role in supporting a safe, functional, and professional environment for all staff and visitors. You will love this role if you: • Take pride in keeping spaces clean, tidy, and in working order • Enjoy fixing things and tackling basic maintenance tasks • Are dependable, proactive, and highly organized • Can work independently and stay on top of routine responsibilities • Enjoy being around dogs and working in a dog-friendly environment (we have 3 in our showroom!) • Want to be part of a growing company and supportive team Key Responsibilities: • Perform routine building inspections and complete preventative maintenance tasks. • Handle general repair work, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and minor construction. • Carry out janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, restroom cleaning, and replenishing supplies. • Maintain building entrances, hallways, offices, break rooms, restrooms, and other common areas to ensure cleanliness and safety. • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and repair needs. • Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment. • Assist with room setups, furniture moves, and special projects. • Monitor compliance with safety, health, and building regulations. • Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized maintenance or repair work. • Provide support during emergencies, such as leaks, power outages, or weather-related incidents. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent; trade or technical training a plus. • Previous experience in building maintenance, janitorial work, or related field preferred. • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair practices. • Ability to operate cleaning equipment, tools, and machinery safely. • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. • Physical ability to perform manual labor (lifting, bending, climbing ladders, standing for long periods). • Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Work Environment: • Full-time position (with hours varying depending on needs). May also require occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call hours. • Work includes both indoor cleaning/maintenance and outdoor tasks in varying conditions.
