Looking for: Women only. Minimum 6 month stay preferred. Move in available starting October 2nd. THE APARTMENT: This is a shared living space with 4 bedrooms, 1 recently renovated bathroom, full kitchen, and a small, partial dining space. Gas/Electric, Spectrum Internet and house supplies typically cost $60-$80 per person per month. The apartment is located on the second floor of the building (one flight walk-up). No cigarettes. No pets. THE ROOM: The room has a built in closet and is fully furnished with a bed, A/C unit, radiator, shelves, table desk, and chair. THE LOCATION: It’s a very quiet residential neighborhood with lots of convenient stores close by. It is a 5-minute walk to the nearest 7 train and/or bus stop, and a 10 minute walk to the LIRR (one stop from Penn station). The apartment is located a 5-15 minute walk from Blink Fitness, multiple grocery stores (one of which is 24 hours), Staples, coffee shops, pharmacies, libraries, the post office, restaurants, beauty salons and laundromats and there are multiple citi bike stations a few minute walk away. THE ROOMMATES: You will be sharing the space with 3 working women. We share one bathroom and one kitchen. Two of us mostly work from home and the third mostly works in-office. One of us is an early riser, one typically sleeps in. I work nights often so I'll be up late often. We mostly keep to ourselves, but we are friendly and cordial when we do interact. The atmosphere is quiet, respectful, and a peaceful space to come home to after a long day. Though we share one bathroom we haven't had a problem with waiting, we typically limit bathroom usage time to 30-45 minutes. YOU: We are looking for a quiet, respectful and kind roommate who is responsible when paying rent and bills. We have a rotating chore chart and each roommate is responsible for one chore per week: garbage, kitchen, bathroom, floors. We alternate the chores weekly. When we need to buy cleaning supplies or shared toiletries we rotate the responsibility and split the supply bill equally between the 4 of us. Occasional Guests are allowed just let everyone know in advance. No parties. NO LIVE-IN PARTNERS. Please communicate with roommates when bringing guests. WHEN: The room is available now. Long-term renters will have preference over people who only want to stay short-term. SUMMARY: I have lived in this apartment for about 12 years. It's certainly not a brand new renovated luxury apartment (the bathroom is brand new so that's exciting); this apartment's got some faults and wear and tear. But the location is great.
