Experienced Sales/Dispatch – Trucking & Logistics 📍 Location: Sacramento 🕒 Employment Type: Full-Time 📅 Start Date: ASAP About Us We’re a small, family-owned trucking company with our own terminal and a fleet of 20 trucks, specializing in the transportation of dry and refrigerated freight throughout the 11 Western States. With a strong foundation and decades of experience, we’re now looking to expand our team, grow our fleet, and bring on a driven, resourceful Salesman who knows the ins and outs of the industry. The Role As our Sales Manager, you’ll play a key role in scaling our operations by bringing in new customers and carrier partnerships. Your experience in both sales and dispatch will help you understand the needs of shippers and carriers alike. We’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running with a book of business or the ability to develop one quickly. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain relationships with shippers and freight brokers Identify and secure new business opportunities Onboard new customers and carriers to our network Collaborate with dispatch to ensure smooth execution of freight moves Help optimize truck utilization and load planning Represent our company values and maintain excellent customer service Provide market feedback and assist with strategic planning What We're Looking For: Proven sales experience in the trucking/logistics industry Dispatch experience – you understand the day-to-day operations Existing book of business or the ability to bring customers/carriers onboard Strong knowledge of dry and refrigerated freight across the Western U.S. Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills Entrepreneurial mindset and a team-player attitude Ability to work independently and drive results
