Requirements: • AA degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and/or Machining Technology plus 2+ years direct experience in a machine shop environment with heavy programming or, GED and 4+ years direct experience in a machine shop with heavy programming. • Strong understanding of machining principles, including cutting tool selection, speeds and feeds and machining strategies. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. • Experience with castings strongly preferred. • Ability to read, interpret technical drawings, GD&T symbols, tech specs and design models. • Proficiency in use of indicators and gauges. • Ability to document and communicate technical details to all staff levels. • Ability to follow, improve and establish best practice SOP’s. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making and trouble-shooting skills. • Flexibility (pivot/adjust/adapt). • Ability to make adjustments in cutting paths or settings on the fly, whilst maintaining quality. • Solidworks experience a plus. • G-zero programming knowledge a plus. • Team player with strong math and communication skills. • Positive and professional attitude with impeccable attendance.
