1. Journeyman Press Operator (Full-Time)
We are looking for a Journeyman Press Operator to expertly perform maintenance and operate our double-width offset press in a timely, safe, and efficient manner, with a strong focus on quality and minimizing waste.
Key Requirements:
Completed four years offset web printing pressmen apprenticeship program.
Knowledge of double-width offset press (preferred).
Ability to register quality 4/color on offset press.
Comfortable working in a high-noise industrial environment, with the ability to perform physical tasks (e.g., climbing press stairs up to 60 feet, lifting 80 lb. rollers with assistance).
Compensation: $27.00 per hour.
2. Part-Time Paper Handler
Join our production team managing the essential receipt, storage, and preparation of paper rolls. This fast-paced role requires attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
What You'll Do:
Efficiently manage and supply the correct paper rolls to the presses, ensuring a continuous flow.
Unload newsprint trucks and safely operate equipment, including forklifts and paper clamps.
Prepare rolls for production and maintain a clean and safe work area.
Training & Schedule:
Two-month on-site training period (Mon-Wed, 6:30 am start).
Regular schedule will be a mid-morning start (10 am - 12 pm).
Forklift certification classes provided if you do not have a current valid certification.
Key Requirements:
Forklift experience is required (certification preferred).
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Compensation: $17.13 - $21.85 per hour.
3. On-Call Platemaker
We are seeking a detail-oriented On-Call Platemaker to ensure the quality and timely processing of plates for the press. This position requires availability to cover a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
Process plates for the press and establish production priorities to meet deadlines.
Work with imaging software and equipment (training provided).
Analyze and resolve quality issues and ensure all imaging equipment is functional.
Key Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience with pagination workflow software and FTP sites is highly desirable.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
CNC or CTP experience preferred.
Compensation: $26.15 per hour.
