We undertake a diverse array of multifaceted projects, from the construction of new facilities necessary to meet the needs of a growing population to the rehabilitation of historic and vital water conveyance and hydro generation facilities that helped build this nation. Syblon Reid offers unique opportunities to become part of a highly-skilled construction team on one-of-a-kind projects in Northern California and the western United States. Responsibilities Manages mechanical installations and ensure smooth operations with safety, quality, budget, schedule and client satisfaction as priorities. Provide leadership and direct supervision to mechanical labor crews on job sites. Ensures mechanical work is executed according to contract terms and conditions. Interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to guide mechanical work. Assist project team with problem solving and keep team updated on potential schedule issues. Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure quality and productivity. Enforce safety policies and conduct regular toolbox meetings. Communicate with project managers on progress, issues, and materials. Qualifications 5+ years of mechanical or industrial construction experience relevant to above and under ground piping, including steel, ductile iron, and plastic pipe. 2 years hands on experience with equipment and valves including: gate valves, butterfly valves, check valves, ARVs, flow meters, pumps. 2+ years in a foreperson or crew lead role. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Positive interpersonal skills with a Safety First work ethic. OSHA 10/30 certification preferred. Current Northern CA Laborer Union membership required. Valid CA driver’s license with a clean driving record/insurable. Physical requirements include being able to lift and carry 75 lbs. and walk on uneven surfaces. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
