Looking for a Fabricator/Yard assistant for a ground improvement company. Main welding process is dual shield on mild and hardened steel. Fabrication skills are preferred. All tools will be provided. Please have your own PPE to start. Majority of daily tasks are welding and fabricating of tooling to be sent out into the field for ongoing/upcoming projects. Training is available. Starting pay is 30 per hour. We offer excellent benefits package as well as 401k. This is a full time job with the opportunity for overtime in certain situations. Summary of desired qualifications: - Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years experience working in the steel fabrication industry. - Familiarity with structural steel shop, fabrication tools, and machinery, including material handling equipment such as cranes and forklifts is required. - Must have WABO certified or have ability to get certified immediately. - Must be able to read and understand shop drawings and work independently. - Must have the ability to understand instructions and safety policies. - Structural Steel layout and fitting experience is required. - A layout / fit / welding test may be required prior to employment.
