Contractors must have sufficient vehicle for the work being performed Must have an EIN (federal tax ID) - This can be obtained (free) at irs.gov For work involving assembly, must own hand and power tools and have the experience and mechanical aptitude to build products Must Comply with vehicle registrations, state laws as applicable for the commercial vehicle being used to complete work Most work require two people, you may be asked to sign on with a helper Vehicle liability insurance-CSL insurance varies based on vehicle weight Must have good customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively Everyone is subject to a background check and drug screening, including owners, drivers, and helpers Must be authorized to work in the US.   Job Type: Contract  Settlements: potential to earn 40K-100K+ dependent upon volume, location, and contract work accepted. Equipment Mechanic (Homer, NY) General Description: This position will be responsible for maintenance and general repairs on all types of; heavy, medium, light-duty, gas, & diesel vehicles, equipment and trailers. Complete set of hand tools to effectively get the work accomplished. Must be able to lift and maneuver heavy vehicle components. The ability to read and comprehend required paperwork such as work orders, repair manuals, wiring schematics, drawings. Ability to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, & electrical problems. Experience operating equipment preferred. Work well with others Valid driver’s license. CDL driver's license NOT required but preferred. Previous work experience in heavy-duty gas & diesel maintenance and repair. Employment type: full-time, M-F 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Saturdays as needs require.
