Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Tile Setter to join our remodeling and construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of tile installation techniques, tools, and materials. This position requires expertise in reading blueprints, preparing surfaces, cutting and laying tile, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. The Lead Tile Setter will complete tile installation projects, provide guidance to helpers, and ensure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with building codes. Must be able to work with speed and precision. Responsibilities     •    Measure, mark, and cut tiles to fit around obstacles and into specific layouts.     •    Prepare and level surfaces for tile installation, including applying mortar, adhesives, and grout.     •    Lay ceramic, porcelain, stone, and specialty tiles with precision and attention to detail.     •    Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to plan layouts.     •    Mix and apply setting materials and ensure proper spacing and alignment of tiles.     •    Supervise and train tile setters, apprentices, and helpers on best practices and safety standards.     •    Operate tile cutting machines, grinders, and other tools safely and effectively.     •    Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, materials, and job sites.     •    Communicate with project managers and clients regarding progress and design details.     •    Inspect finished surfaces to ensure flawless workmanship and durability. Qualifications     •    High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in tile installation preferred.     •    Minimum 5 years of professional tile installation experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.     •    Strong knowledge of tile materials, adhesives, grout, sealants, and layout techniques.     •    Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications.     •    Proficiency with tile cutting tools, grinders, wet saws, and hand tools.     •    Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of craftsmanship.     •    Physical stamina to lift heavy materials, kneel, and work in physically demanding environments.     •    Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.     •    Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
