Title: Household Manager & Family Assistant Location: Phoenix, AZ 85085 Employment Type: Part-time (15–20 hours/week) Proposed Start Date: ASAP, ideally before December 1, 2025 Compensation: $25–$35/hour, based on experience Requirements: Able to maintain a smoke, vape, and drug-free environment, clean driving record, able to pass a background check, CPR certification valued but not required Proposed Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 1:00–5:00 p.m. (beginning with household tasks before school pick-up). Hours may vary slightly for school half-days or after-school activities. About Our Family We’re a busy family of four with two kids (ages 10 and 13), looking for a dependable, organized, and upbeat Household Manager & Family Assistant to help our home run smoothly during the workweek. With both parents in full-time careers (one working remotely and one in-office), we’re looking for someone who can take initiative, handling after-school pickups, daily household tasks, errands, and light meal prep. You’ll be a great fit if you’re a safe driver, a self-starter, and enjoy engaging with older kids who are growing more independent but still need structure and support. If you love creating order, keeping things on track, and being a trusted part of a family team, we’d love to meet you. Who We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who’s dependable, positive, and takes pride in helping a household run smoothly. The right person will be both responsible and fun, someone who can keep things organized while also building an easy, friendly connection with our kids. Our ideal candidate is: -Proactive and self-sufficient: notices what needs to be done and jumps in before being asked -Organized and detail-oriented: helps keep the home tidy, schedules on track, and afternoons running smoothly -Flexible and adaptable: comfortable balancing different tasks and adjusting to changes (like school half-days or sports practice) -A safe, dependable driver with a clean record -Communicates openly and kindly: keeps us in the loop with quick updates or friendly check-ins -Has a good sense of humor and enjoys spending time with older kids -Comfortable with dogs Key Responsibilities Childcare & Transportation -Safely pick up two kids from school daily at 3:00 p.m. (occasionally later at 4:00 p.m.) and bring them home -Ensure children get after-school snacks and complete their routines: unpack lunchboxes, start homework, finish chores -Send quick text updates to parents confirming pickups and any relevant details -Manage approximately 40–60 minutes of round-trip freeway driving plus wait time Household Management & Organization -Daily tidying and room resets: load/unload dishwasher, wipe counters, light vacuuming, general pickup; ensure home is prepped for cleaning service -Maintain household organization systems (closets, storage, pantry, garage, etc.) and suggest improvements as needed -Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs and pick-ups -Ensure family has what they need for trips (laundry completed, items organized and ready) Errands & Inventory Management -Track and restock pantry, fridge, toiletries, and household supplies -Maintain and manage running household supply lists -Coordinate and manage orders (Amazon, Costco, Target, etc.) -Run errands as needed: grocery shopping, returns, dry cleaning, and gift shopping Laundry -Wash, dry, fold, and organize family laundry (clothing, bedding, towels) -Rotate bedding and refresh towels regularly -Keep laundry area tidy and well-stocked with detergents and supplies Meal Prep & Kitchen Support We appreciate good food and healthy habits, and we’re looking for someone who enjoys helping make that easier during the week. This part of the role focuses on simple, family-style cooking and keeping the kitchen running smoothly. You’ll help by: -Cooking or prepping 1-2 dinners per week that are healthy, protein-forward, and dairy-free -Picking up groceries or ingredients and keeping staples organized -Prepping fruits and veggies so everyone has easy grab-and-go options -Tidying up after cooking and helping keep the kitchen organized -Bringing a bit of care and creativity to mealtime — making it one less thing for our family to worry about Deep Cleaning & Special Projects -Tackle occasional deep cleans (fridge, oven, baseboards, etc.) -Refresh and organize key zones (entryway, garage, mudroom) Vehicle Management -Coordinate with family on vehicle maintenance, oil changes, and inspections -Keep vehicles fueled, clean, and organized Seasonal Tasks -Conduct seasonal swaps (clothing, bedding, décor) to keep the home current and functional -Prepare the household for family events and holidays (especially Thanksgiving) -Support holiday decorating, gift shopping, and wrapping How to Apply If this sounds like a great fit, we’d love to hear from you!
