Cook Job Description We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong passion for food, works well under pressure, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and cleanliness in the kitchen. Responsibilities: • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently • Maintain proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices • Ensure station is clean, stocked, and organized before, during, and after service • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service • Assist with inventory, receiving, and proper storage of supplies Requirements: • Previous experience as a line cook or in a professional kitchen • Knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately • Strong organizational and time-management skills • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Experience in a deli is a plus, but attitude and effort matter most. You’ll be slicing pastrami, corned beef, turkey, and more — hot and cold — and learning how a real New York deli runs.
