Description

CurbWaste is an early-stage vertical SaaS company on a mission to transform the Waste Management industry — a critical sector that has long been underserved by modern technology. We’re here to change that. Our customers are the backbone of essential infrastructure: humble, hard-working operators running complex businesses with little support from software. We’re building tools that bring them the power, clarity, and efficiency they deserve — and we’re just getting started. At CurbWaste, we hold a high bar. We challenge each other to grow every day, operate with trust and ownership, and are relentlessly focused on delivering real value to our customers. About the Role CurbWaste is looking for a QA Analyst who is passionate about product quality and obsessed with the details. In this role, you’ll be the gatekeeper of reliability — ensuring that every feature we ship is tested thoroughly, works as intended, and provides a seamless experience for our customers. You’ll work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to identify issues early, define test strategies, and advocate for quality throughout the development process. Your work will directly shape the trust our customers place in us and ensure we deliver software they can depend on to run their businesses. The ideal candidate is a meticulous, curious problem-solver who thrives on breaking things, finding edge cases, and pushing software to its limits. You’ll join a growing QA team that is already building strong testing practices, and you’ll play a key role in scaling our processes, collaborating across functions, and raising the bar for product quality at CurbWaste. What You Will Do Develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases across our web and mobile applications Collaborate with product managers and engineers to understand requirements, acceptance criteria, and edge cases Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and follow-through Perform regression, integration, and exploratory testing to validate new features and releases Contribute to the development of scalable QA processes, tooling, and standards as the team grows Advocate for usability, performance, and reliability across the product lifecycle Participate in agile ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, reviews) to ensure quality considerations are baked in from the start Requirements 2–4 years of experience in software QA (QA Analyst, QA Engineer, or similar role), ideally in a SaaS environment Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes Experience with test case management and issue-tracking tools (e.g., TestRail, Jira) Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) is a plus Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail Passion for quality and a customer-first mindset Experience in logistics, last-mile delivery, or route optimization is a plus Background in vertical SaaS or industry-specific software is a plus Must be based in the NYC area with valid work authorization Benefits This is not just a job, this is a career, it’s an opportunity to make a real impact in a critical industry. Be part of a mission-driven startup High-impact role with ownership and room to grow Competitive compensation and benefits package Flextime, recognition, and support for autonomous work Health benefits: Company-paid medical, dental, and vision Hybrid work environment with NYC headquarters Our Mission We aim to change the way waste companies run their business. We’re a software company founded by haulers and built for haulers. We care about the environment and want to play a positive role in the future of the waste industry. Software helps create solutions, and we are focused on being the leaders in change. At CurbWaste, we celebrate individuality and uniqueness. We believe that the convergence of fresh perspectives and experiences from all walks of life is what makes our product and culture so great. We strongly encourage people from underrepresented groups to apply.
