This role plays a critical part in developing and qualifying robust manufacturing processes that meet customer and regulatory requirements at our Fremont Factory.\r\n \r\nJob Repsonsibilities:\r\nIn-Process Quality Control:\r\n Collaborate with Production and Engineering to define and maintain critical quality parameters and control limits\r\n Develop and implement in-process inspection standards, control plans, and quality monitoring systems.\r\n Non-Conformance (NC) Handling:\r\n Manage the identification, documentation, and disposition of non-conforming material.\r\n Lead cross-functional teams to evaluate and contain non-conforming products in a timely manner.\r\n Drive data collection and analysis of NC trends to support continuous improvement efforts.\r\n Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Action (RCA/CA):\r\n Lead structured problem-solving activities using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, and FMEA.\r\n Coordinate cross-functional teams to define root causes and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).\r\n Monitor and verify the effectiveness of implemented actions to ensure sustainable improvements.\r\n Process Qualification & Validation:\r\n Develop and execute process qualification plans when introducing new processes or equipment.\r\n Collaborate with Engineering to define quality requirements for new or modified equipment and processes.\r\n Review and approve process validation protocols, reports, and supporting data.\r\n  \r\nContinuous Improvement & Change Management:\r\n Drive process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, or other quality methodologies.\r\n Participate in Kaizen events and support quality training programs for production staff.\r\n Participate in Engineering Change Control (ECC) reviews and ensure proper risk assessments and validations are completed.\r\n Provide process specific Technical Training to the technicians as part of CI efforts. \r\n Documentation & Compliance:\r\n Ensure all quality documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with industry standards (ISO 9001 & AS9100).\r\n Support internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory audits.\r\n Maintain records for traceability, calibration, inspection results, and process changes.\r\n Requirements\r\n Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or related field. \r\n 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality role, preferably in the lithium-ion battery, electronics, or automotive industry.\r\n Strong knowledge of quality systems, root cause analysis, and process control tools.\r\n Experience with Six Sigma Approach with at least a Green Belt. \r\n Experience with SPC, FMEA, control plans, and statistical analysis.\r\n Working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality standards.\r\n Proficient in Microsoft Office, JMP/ Minitab and ERP systems.\r\n Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills\r\n  \r\nPreferred Qualifications:\r\n Masters degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering preferred.\r\n Experience in lithium-ion battery manufacturing or other energy storage technologies.\r\n Black Belt in Six Sigma.\r\n Familiarity with high-volume manufacturing environments.\r\n  \r\nPhysical Demands & Work Location: \r\n Fremont, CA: This is an on-site job. For more information, visit the company website at https://amprius.com/about/ Summary Manufacturing Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring in-process product quality, driving root cause analysis of quality issues, and implementing corrective actions. This role plays a critical part in developing and qualifying robust manufacturing processes that meet customer and regulatory requirements at our Fremont Factory.   Job Repsonsibilities: In-Process Quality Control: Collaborate with Production and Engineering to define and maintain critical quality parameters and control limits Develop and implement in-process inspection standards, control plans, and quality monitoring systems. Non-Conformance (NC) Handling: Manage the identification, documentation, and disposition of non-conforming material. Lead cross-functional teams to evaluate and contain non-conforming products in a timely manner. Drive data collection and analysis of NC trends to support continuous improvement efforts. Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Action (RCA/CA): Lead structured problem-solving activities using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, and FMEA. Coordinate cross-functional teams to define root causes and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA). Monitor and verify the effectiveness of implemented actions to ensure sustainable improvements. Process Qualification & Validation: Develop and execute process qualification plans when introducing new processes or equipment. Collaborate with Engineering to define quality requirements for new or modified equipment and processes. Review and approve process validation protocols, reports, and supporting data.   Continuous Improvement & Change Management: Drive process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, or other quality methodologies. Participate in Kaizen events and support quality training programs for production staff. Participate in Engineering Change Control (ECC) reviews and ensure proper risk assessments and validations are completed. Provide process specific Technical Training to the technicians as part of CI efforts. Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all quality documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with industry standards (ISO 9001 & AS9100). Support internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory audits. Maintain records for traceability, calibration, inspection results, and process changes. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or related field. 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality role, preferably in the lithium-ion battery, electronics, or automotive industry. Strong knowledge of quality systems, root cause analysis, and process control tools. Experience with Six Sigma Approach with at least a Green Belt. Experience with SPC, FMEA, control plans, and statistical analysis. Working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality standards. Proficient in Microsoft Office, JMP/ Minitab and ERP systems. Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills   Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering preferred. Experience in lithium-ion battery manufacturing or other energy storage technologies. Black Belt in Six Sigma. Familiarity with high-volume manufacturing environments.   Physical Demands & Work Location: Fremont, CA: This is an on-site job. In this role, you are located at the crossroads of Oura Manufacturing, R&D, and Supply Chain. You will work alongside our design teams and process engineers, facilitating the development and eventual ramp of NPI programs, supporting the mission critical goal of developing high quality components and assemblies which are both manufacturable and scalable.  Job requirements include setting up quality systems at suppliers to ensure good data is collected and analyzed for program critical decision making as well as creating long term strategies to help continuously improve the Oura Supply Chain. You will plan, develop and implement measurement methods, control plans, and other supply quality engineering processes to help ensure the part and product quality - all the way from concept phase through high volume mass production in a complex, global scale supply chain. You will be a liaison between the suppliers and designers, championing a culture of quality on behalf of Oura and our customers.  You'll collaborate closely with our operations team and program managers to plan and execute each NPI build, while also shaping and refining both the process and the product. A strong background in manufacturing processes and design for manufacturing (DFM) is essential for success in this role. Position Summary The Process Piping Quality Assurance Quality Control Manager will administer Murray Company’s Quality Program resulting in a team culture that promotes customer satisfaction and exceeds customer expectations by ensuring we deliver all processes per code requirements and Murray Company SOP's. Incumbent will champion continuous improvement efforts, initiate and implement quality improvement activities as appropriate to raise performance, educate/train, mentor and hold employees accountable for their impact in quality. The ideal candidate will have experience with the welding and installation of high purity process piping. This position requires 30%-50% travel between local regional offices and job sites. Location: San Leandro, CA and local regional offices and project sites.   Key Responsibilities  Serve as the primary quality control resource for problem identification, resolution and own the quality business plan and continuous improvement efforts. Ensure all QA/QC members enforce timely inspection/audit activities, documentation control and written reports. Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality system and processes. Set strategic direction for improvements and own implementations. Responsible for the preparation and control of project quality system documentation prior to project commencement. Review quality inspection personnel qualifications and training requirements. Develop site-specific QA/QC procedures and manage the quality work performed by the company or its subcontractors on-site. Coordinate all QA/QC activities with the Site QA/QC personnel - includes cost effective management of third-party vendors. Current or previous certifications as a CWI or ASNT SNT-TC-1A Level II or III in the RT, UT, MT, PT, or VT method with a minimum of 5 years experience. Minimum 7 – 10 years of experience in a construction-related industry. Strong leadership capabilities – Must have the ability to effectively manage a group individuals working towards a common goal. Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to interpret documents such as design drawings, specifications, building and welding codes, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
