Job description We're looking for an experienced and detail oriented journeyperson carpenter to build, install and repair a variety of different structures as part of our construction team. A successful candidate must have experience with a variety of tools and be able to work with other carpenters as well as electrical, roofing and HVAC contractors. We're in need of someone who can take initiative, perform their duties in a timely manner and can work well on their own or as part of a team. We Strive for excellence and take great pride in the work we perform and require a candidate to do the same. Responsibilities: Use hand and power tools to cut, shape and nail wood or metal. Measure and cut materials to prepare for construction projects or repairs. Read and interpret plans to order the correct materials and build to structural specifications. Communicate with others about construction projects or repairs. Know and obey all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. Perform carpentry work that involves framing houses, installing windows, and building decks. Perform carpentry work under limited supervision. You’ll help older adults, people with disabilities, and other low-income homeowners live safely and independently by installing accessibility items such as grab bars, wheelchair ramps, modified steps, and railings. Work will be performed both independently and as part of a team.
