I'm a graduate student at the UofM and I'm looking for someone to takeover my lease for a 1-bedroom condo starting November 1st or earlier. The lease runs through August 31 2026. It's a 1 bed room condo on the first floor. It's spacious (752 sqft) and bright. It has a small den that could be your study or home office. Perfect for graduate students or a couple! The living room has a large south side window and the den has a large east side window. So plant-moms(and dads) will feel right at home! There's also a small garden in the front yard. It's a peaceful little sanctuary. Rent is $1000 per month. That covers water, sewer, trash, and one off-street parking spot behind the building. You’ll be responsible for electricity, gas, and internet which totals about $100-120. There’s a $500 deposit when you move in but I could cover that for you. Appliances include in-unit laundry, induction stove, dishwasher, fridge, and microwave. The front door has an electronic lock with a motion-activated camera. The bedroom is carpeted and has a large closet. The living room has vinyl flooring. The kitchen has plenty of cabinet space. The bathroom has shower and tub. As you can see from the pictures, the place is mostly unfurnished but if you want, I could leave my study desk and mattress behind for you. The best part about this unit is the location. It's right across the street from the UofM Business School, half a mile from Augsburg University and the UofM Law Library. A 30 second walk gets you to the Green Line and 1 stop later you're at the East Bank Station. There's also plenty of bus routes nearby - the Connector, the GopherTrip, #2,#3,#7,#22. You can get to your classes in under 10 mins. Grocery store, pharmacy, cafes, and restaurants are all within walking distance. The West River Parkway trails are also close by if you like running or biking. The Blue Line is just a couple of blocks away. Downtown is just 1 stop away on the Green Line. Despite being centrally located, the entire building is tucked away in a cul-de-sac, behind a few restaurants/cafes so you wont have to worry about noise from Riverside road. I've been living here for 2 months and my experience has been good so far. It's quiet, with easy access to everything, and I have nice neighbors. The condo is owned and maintained directly by the landlords - a husband/wife duo. They used to live here but then moved when they needed a larger space for their children. They've been great to me and were quick to address the few maintanence issues I've had. I would love to continue living here but my financial situation has suddenly changed and I need to downsize.
