Hammer & Hand is seeking experienced full-time Frame-to-Finish Carpenters, as well as Site Leads (lead carpenter and site supervisor), to join our Seattle team! Frame-to-Finish Carpenter Carpenter Qualifications • Approximately 5 years of custom carpentry experience including framing, envelope, and trim install • Experience with remodel and new build projects • Knowledgeable of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction of buildings and other structures • Must be able to keep accurate records and perform timekeeping, including electronic submittals • Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record • Must have full selection of tools to perform the work • High level of accuracy and pride in your craft • Ability to lift 50lbs Site Lead Hammer & Hand is seeking a site lead to join its Seattle team. Successful candidates are goal-driven, organized, outside-the-box problem solvers with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage a team and at least 10 years of experience. Site Lead Qualifications • Approximately 10 years of construction and carpentry experience • Approximately 5 years in an on-site project management role • Experience with high-end residential remodels and new build projects • Experience managing high-end commercial TI projects • Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record • Must have full selection of tools to perform the work • High level of accuracy and pride in your craft • Ability to lift 50lbs • Self-motivated and able to motivate others • Well developed computer skills, including cloud based project management tools. We are looking for woodworkers with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience. Our shop is in Sunnyside, Queens. Our site work tends to be mainly in the 5 boroughs, but we do a significant amount of work out of the city as well.
 We work on wood windows & doors, cornices, staircases, and other architectural woodwork. We work at public & private buildings. Our projects range from staircase and handrail installation to the installation & servicing of traditional wood windows. Being focused on restoration, our work tends to be eclectic and requires flexibility. Each staff member is engaged in a variety of tasks both on-site & in the shop. We occasionally work on brownstone scaffolds so a comfort with heights is helpful. We often work in sensitive environments such as museums, public spaces & religious buildings. Thoughtful behavior and proper inter-personal skills are essential. We maintain a family friendly, cooperative atmosphere. Our goal is to provide a healthy, safe and enjoyable work experience.
