The company will train you! Work in a drug free environment. This is a stress free and life balanced position with a small non-profit. Become a peer support specialist in the behavioral health field. Work in a wellness center in Bullhead City. Guaranteed forty hours a week with no overtime. Hours: M-F 8:am to 4:pm or 9:am to 5:pm or 10:am to 6:pm. Full-time is a forty hour a week position with 14 paid holidays a year and a one-week vacation after the first year. Your medical, dental and life insurance is paid, plus a matching 401k, vision and telehealth is available. This is a low stress position with room for advancement. Part-time (29 hours a week) is also available. As Behavioral Health Paraprofessional (BHPP) you would provide recovery support services in various settings to peers within the community to support, educate and provide services to advance recovery and wellness. Assist peer members using recognized evidence-based practice peer support services to articulate their goals for recovery, while they learn and practice new skills, aiding them to monitor their progress, that supports them in their treatment; while modeling effective coping techniques and self-help strategies based on the peer support specialist's own recovery experience. Give support to the wellness center peer members, helping them advocate for themselves to obtain effective services, and to develop and implement their personal recovery plans. As a Peer Support Specialist you would be a role model to the peer member's; exhibiting competency in personal recovery with the use of coping skills; serves as a peer advocate and supporter, providing peer members information and peer support in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Support adult peers in regaining independence within the community and mastery over their own recovery process. You will be taught to understand how the support services provided impact a peer’s recovery and contributes to their progression in the self-management of their recovery. You will document the value of the services provided as evidence of outcomes in recovery and perform in a wide range of settings, such as, in the wellness center, during transport, in the peer or family home, in community based outpatient settings including community agencies, in-patient psychiatric hospitals, or retail stores, food banks, etc. Minimum Qualifications / Experience: • Clear a background check and be free of major criminal offenses. • A current and valid Arizona driver's license with an acceptable 60 month MVR. • If in recovery, must be stable for over one year. • Pass a drug test. • Verifiable legal status to work in the United States. Education / Certifications: • HS diploma or GED from a US accredited entity. • Peer Support Specialist Certification a plus • CPR/First Aid certificate a plus
