Seeking a Lab Engineer with strong networking expertise to support testing, evaluation, and development of advanced network solutions within a controlled lab environment. This role involves configuring network infrastructure, troubleshooting, and assisting in validation efforts to ensure high-performance and secure operations. Key Responsibilities: Design, configure, and maintain network lab environments to support testing and development initiatives. Troubleshoot and optimize network configurations across switches, routers, firewalls, and other critical infrastructure. Analyzing customer functional requirements to develop system requirements specifications and implement designed solutions. Assist in developing and executing test plans, simulations, and performance validations. Document configurations, troubleshooting steps, and lab procedures for future reference. Support automation efforts using scripting or tools like Ansible, Python, or other network automation frameworks. Ensure compliance with security protocols and best practices for lab environments. Interacting with the Government customers regarding Network Engineering and technical considerations for associated problems, issues, or conflicts. Requirements Must possess 6+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree / Master's degree and 4+ years of work experience. Must have an Active TS/SCI and willing to obtain a CI Poly. Hands-on experience in network engineering, including configuration of Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking technologies. Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VXLANs, firewalls, and VPNs. Ability to troubleshoot complex networking issues in a lab environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud networking, SDN (Software-Defined Networking), and virtualization technologies. Knowledge of automation tools for networking (Ansible, Python, etc.). Scout’s Network Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the network infrastructure supporting our renewable energy power plants, remote operations center, and corporate office. This role requires technical expertise in multiprotocol networks, multilayer switches, next-generation firewalls, and central management systems.   Our network environment consists of Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco networking devices, with WAN connectivity via IPSec tunnels and SD-WAN solutions. The ideal candidate will leverage automation and monitoring tools to maintain high availability and ensure SLAs are met. They should also be comfortable navigating change management processes and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust network solutions.  The Network Engineer will report to the Senior Manager, Information Technology and Cybersecurity.   Key Responsibilities  Oversee and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco devices.
