Bratslavsky Consulting Engineers an engineering and construction management company is looking for a full time Construction Inspector to start immediately in Kodiak, Alaska. This is a full time, multi-year position, candidates will be required to live in Kodiak. Relocation assistance is available. POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Civil Engineer will utilize Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) methods in project management of road construction projects, land surveying and structural engineering to support civil infrastructure projects across tribal lands. This role works closely with the West Susitna Project Team in project planning, design coordination, permitting, and construction activities particularly those involving CM/GC contracts, bridge structures, and retaining systems within the State of Alaska. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and common project delivery software. • Familiarity with SHPO/NEPO coordination, environmental permitting, and right-of-way acquisition processes in Alaska. • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies. • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks with a high degree of accuracy. • Knowledge of structural engineering specific to bridge and retaining structure design. • Experience in land surveying, including legal description development, platting, and topographic evaluation. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and technical writing skills. • Ability to work independently and within a team setting. • Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather and difficult terrain in remote fieldwork zones. • Follow all DOT & PF and OSHA workplace safety policies, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
