Description

Core Systems is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented System Assembler to join our integration team. This position involves assembling and integrating rugged computer systems and enclosures used in demanding environments. Candidates must have excellent attention to detail, strong manual dexterity, and prior experience using hand tools—especially screwdrivers and torque tools. Responsibilities: • Assemble computer systems, subassemblies, and components according to work instructions and schematics • Perform cable routing, component mounting, and final system integration • Use screwdrivers, torque drivers, and basic hand tools safely and accurately • Inspect work for quality, fit, and finish before release • Follow detailed assembly drawings and maintain production accuracy • Work closely with production leads and engineering to ensure product quality and workflow efficiency • Maintain a clean and organized work area Requirements: • Proven experience in mechanical or electronic assembly, preferably in system integration or manufacturing • Comfortable working with hand tools (screwdrivers, torque drivers, wrenches, etc.) • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely • Legal U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods Preferred: • Prior experience with computer hardware, cabling, or industrial electronics assembly • Experience in a defense, aerospace, or rugged systems environment

Strong knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, OSPF, etc.).  Experience with network configuration tools, packet analyzers, and diagnostic equipment.  Understanding of DoD systems, requirements, and acquisition lifecycle.  U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a [Secret/Top Secret] security clearance.  Preferred Qualifications:  5+ years of experience in systems or network engineering, ideally in a defense or aerospace environment.  Experience with VICTORY or CMOSS standards.  Experience developing custom switch hardware solutions.  Familiarity with embedded systems and real-time environments.  Prior work on ground vehicles, avionics, or tactical systems.  Experience supporting RMF/IA activities for networked systems.  Hands-on experience with enterprise and embedded switches/routers (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Curtiss-Wright, VICTORY standards).  Benefits Pacific Defense provides competitive salaries and immediately vested 401K match.
