We are a small, growing community preschool nestled in the north valley. As universal childcare is implemented in November, we are expecting an increase in enrollment and need more teachers to join our team! We are looking for lead teachers, assistants and floaters to help in every classroom. What You'll Do Teach beginner group piano classes (max 5 students) using our proven curriculum. Guide students through sight-reading, technique, rhythm, and music theory. Support each student’s growth as both a musician and a person through our "Beyond the Bench" character development program. Assist with classroom setup and cleanup to ensure a smooth and productive learning environment. Learn and grow as a teacher and musician through ongoing training. Who We're Looking For You love working with children in a joyful, structured environment. You are a confident sight-reader (treble + bass clef). You have a basic understanding of piano technique and music theory. You are reliable, professional, and a great communicator. You are eager to learn, take feedback, and grow with our team. Note: While teaching experience is a plus, it is not required—we will train the right person! Schedule & Pay Schedule: Afternoon/early evening shifts, primarily Monday–Thursday from 4–7pm. Hours: Starting at 3–6 hours per week, with opportunities for growth. TEACHER QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: ● Knowledge of instructional methods tailored to students’ grade level and diverse needs. ● Passion for working with students of various backgrounds and abilities, supporting their growth toward educational success. ● Excellent organizational and time-management skills, able to meet deadlines, manage both small and large groups, and communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues—especially on sensitive topics. ● Proficient in using assistive technologies, email systems, and software like word processing, presentations, and spreadsheets. ● Comfortable with both PC and Apple computers, utilizing them to enhance instruction and student learning .● DCF 45 hours completed and CPR/First Aid certification training. ● Knowledge of NAEYC’s required standards to maintain the school’s accreditation on an ongoing basis. ● Associate teachers must have a CDA or an AA in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
