This position requires an understanding of the UPS computer and shipping systems as well as a basic knowledge of warehouse management systems and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM M-F Duties: Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments with purchase orders and packing slips. Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging products securely and labeling them accurately. Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely order processing and delivery. Perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and order processing. Requirements: Previous experience in shipping and receiving roles is preferred. Familiarity with UPS shipping and computer systems is essential. I’m looking for someone to join me in building a small house project. We’re currently working on the foundation, with plenty more to come. The goal is to be working every day, Monday–Friday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, but there may be occasional days off if we’re waiting on inspections, materials, or weather. The first project is a 300 sq. ft. timber-framed guest house near Willow Lawn. The frame is already cut, and the walls will be built with a hempcrete enclosure system finished in lime plaster. Once this house is complete, the next project will be a renovation and addition on the main house, using the same natural materials and methods — so there’s an opportunity to stay on long term. I’d love to work with someone who has some building experience and an interest in natural building. Attention to detail, reliability, and a willingness to learn are important, since this type of work requires care and precision. Due to the nature of the project, and the fact that I cannot guarantee work every single day during the monday-friday range, I understand if there is a time that you cannot work as well. I will treat you with respect and understanding in all things that we do.
