The CADD Designer will work closely with CADD Manager, Project Managers, Engineers and others to support project teams throughout the company on proposals, planning, and design tasks. Responsibilities Collaborate with engineers and the design team to advance and complete a variety of project types, including roadway, bridge, and drainage With limited supervision, produce 2D and 3D models and drafting of civil transportation plans using the latest version of either Microstation or AutoCAD drafting software in accordance with company and client standards Develop highway and roadway infrastructure projects with plans, profiles, superelevation transitions, and cross sections Produce conceptual and final construction design plans for utilities, grading, and stormwater Use 3D modeling for roadways, drainage, and grading designs Coordinate with complimentary disciplines at a project level which may include members of the structural, electrical, mechanical, and architectural team Support design services during construction activities Produce models for calculating construction quantity takeoffs and creating spreadsheets that summarize estimated quantities Assist junior engineers and professionals.
