Market of Choice is now hiring full-time Cooks to join our Central Kitchen to join our professional, state of the art, modern production facility! This position starts at $16.10/hour up to $18.75/hour depending on experience with growth opportunity up to $19.75/hour. DESCRIPTION The Market Central Kitchen supplies all of our store locations with items made from scratch, including soups, salads, marinades, sauces, spice kits, charcuterie, and more! Applicants should be able to follow standard recipes and procedures, as well as safety food programs. DUTIES We are looking for a friendly team player to join our crew! As a Cook, you will report to the Production Manager and Operations Manager and some of your responsibilities will include: Consulting with the Production Manager on a daily basis to ensure that timing of orders and production schedules are coordinated Production of sandwich, salad, entree, catering trays and soup for the hot and cold cases at Market of Choice stores Timely delivery of assigned orders and other orders as needed Assisting the Chef/Catering Manager with ordering and maintaining inventory of fresh, frozen, and sundry products for use in the department Training new kitchen workers and assistants Prepare deep fried, baked, stove top foods, and salads Maintain positive relations with customers, vendors and employees Maintain Health and Safety sanitation requirements Have a current Food Handler Card QUALIFICATIONS Applicants should be available any shift including weekends. Qualifications: Punctuality and consistency at work are very important for this position. Some prior experience in laundry operations is required. Excellent communication skills to interact with guests and fellow team members. Ability to work well within a team and independently. Positive attitude and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Physical stamina to handle the demands of the role, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
