ABOUT THE JOB: We are seeking dependable and compassionate Paratransit Drivers to provide safe and timely transportation for individuals with mobility needs. This role is critical in ensuring passengers reach their destinations comfortably and efficiently. Multiple shifts are available to fit your schedule. Available Shifts: Morning Shift: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM Afternoon Shift: 12:00 Noon – 6:00 PM Applicants must specify their preferred shift when applying. Key Responsibilities: Safely transport passengers to and from scheduled destinations. Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle, including those using mobility aids. Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance. Adhere to traffic laws and company policies. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with passengers, caregivers, and staff. Keep accurate records of trips and passenger information. Ensure vehicle cleanliness and report any maintenance needs. Requirements: Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required). Clean driving record. Ability to provide excellent customer service, especially to individuals with special needs. Ability to work the designated shift reliably. Must pass a background check, drug screening, etc. Prior paratransit or similar driving experience is a plus but not required. What We Offer: Competitive pay. Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and hard-working driver to join our team in the Midwest! This lane is between Henderson. KY, to St. Louis. (area), Cedar Rapids, Chicago, Valliant OK, Russellville AR. The average miles are between 2500 and 3000 per week. 50% drop and hook, 50% live unload. Duties Include: 1. Transportation: - Pickup and deliver loads safely and on time. - Follow scheduled routes or adjust based on instructions and traffic conditions. 2. Vehicle Maintenance: - Preform dot inspections daily (oil, tire pressure, brakes, lights, etc.). - Report issues and schedule maintenance as needed to keep the truck in working order. 3. Loading and Unloading: - Drop/Hook trailers. - Securely load and unload cargo to prevent damage. 4. Documentation: - Maintain accurate records (elogs, mileage, fuel, customer signatures). - Ensure proper documentation for all deliveries of transportation activities. 5. Customer Service: - Communicate with clients, customers, in a professional and courteous manner. - Handle complaints or issues when they arise and report back to management if needed. 6. Compliance: - Follow traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies. - Maintain a valid driver's license and medical card and any necessary endorsements. 7. Safety: - Maintaining a clean and safe work environment. - Stay aware of surroundings to prevent accidents or theft.
