Walsh Trucking is a family owned company operating since 1959. We provide high quality service to wood residual and solid waste customers throughout the Northwest. Our success has allowed us to grow as a known leader in the wood residual and solid waste transportation industry. We also offer steady year-round work for all of our Class A CDL drivers. Most of our drivers have been with us for more than 5 years and 17% have been here longer than 10 years. Base pay is $26.00 ST/$39.00 OT for Day shift, with overtime pay after 40 hours. Our drivers average 50-60 hrs per week. We are currently recruiting to fill Day or Evening Shift No Touch Freight Solid Waste driving positions operating from these locations: • Rufus, OR - Two Openings!! One Day Shift, One PM Shift To be considered, you must have minimum of 1-year of recent, verifiable Class A CDL driving experience and a clean MVR. MTS Construction Safety Flagperson ($22.70/hr) (San Diego)
Are you ready to start your career at MTS? The Construction Safety Flagperson position is a great way for candidates to get their foot into the door at MTS. Join the team and serve the community by playing an important role in keeping construction crews safe on the tracks. MTS loves to promote from within, so MTS’s best Flagpersons are commonly promoted into Train Operators or other fulltime positions! Job Summary: Under the direction of the Assignments Supervisor, the Flagperson protects personnel and equipment while working on or near the tracks. The Flagperson uses various types of equipment, such as flags, whistles, discs, lights and two-way radios to ensure the safe passage of trains. The Flagperson duties primarily consist of three assignments, Switch Tender, Watchperson and Flagperson. The Switch Tender manipulates switches and signals train operators when proper switch alignment is provided. The Watchperson is charged with monitoring approaching trains and alerting work crews to clear the track of men and equipment.
