Building Superintendent/Maintenance Technician (Cambridge)

Oversee day to day operations of a 36-unit condominium building in Mid-Cambridge neighborhood, just outside Harvard Square. The position works 20 hours per week and pays $25-$30 per hour depending on experience and relevant skills. Send details of relevant employment history and skills. Responsibilities: • Handle general maintenance and small to mid-size repairs • Coordinate with subcontractors as needed • Monitor property for issues and flag them for property manager • Tackle other tasks as they come up • Respond to resident concerns • Supervise move ins/outs • Supervise cleaning contractor • Supervise Snow Plowing Contractor • Supervise trash pickup contractor • Handle snow removal for sidewalks and steps • Supervise assigned parking • Oversee distribution of common area keys • Oversee laundry room vendors, cleanliness, and functionality • Coordinate building access for plumbers, electricians, etc. • Coordinate with City building inspectors • Monitor package delivery room • Ensure all fire and safety systems are properly maintained What You’ll Need: • 3+ years of experience in building trades (maintenance, construction, etc.) • General Handyman skills • Ability to pass a background check • A professional, respectful, and tenant-friendly attitude
