Market of Choice is now hiring full-time Cooks to join our Central Kitchen to join our professional, state of the art, modern production facility! This position starts at $16.10/hour up to $18.75/hour depending on experience with growth opportunity up to $19.75/hour. DESCRIPTION The Market Central Kitchen supplies all of our store locations with items made from scratch, including soups, salads, marinades, sauces, spice kits, charcuterie, and more! Applicants should be able to follow standard recipes and procedures, as well as safety food programs. DUTIES We are looking for a friendly team player to join our crew! This is a unique opportunity to be part of a tight-knit team atmosphere that is creative, fast-paced and fueled by our passion for quality and our commitment to exceptional food. As a Cook, you will report to the Production Manager and Operations Manager and some of your responsibilities will include: Consulting with the Production Manager on a daily basis to ensure that timing of orders and production schedules are coordinated Production of sandwich, salad, entree, catering trays and soup for the hot and cold cases at Market of Choice stores Timely delivery of assigned orders and other orders as needed Assisting the Chef/Catering Manager with ordering and maintaining inventory of fresh, frozen, and sundry products for use in the department Training new kitchen workers and assistants Prepare deep fried, baked, stove top foods, and salads Maintain positive relations with customers, vendors and employees Maintain Health and Safety sanitation requirements Have a current Food Handler Card QUALIFICATIONS Applicants should be available any shift including weekends. The ideal candidate will be at least 18 years of age and have the following: A minimum of 1 year food prep experience At least 1 year heavy food production experience A valid Oregon Drivers License (with a clean driving record) Market of Choice is an Oregon grown, local company with opportunities for growth. Commercial Door & Hardware Installer Job description We are looking for a Technician to join our Field Service Team; this department performs door and hardware installs and repairs for our customers. This role requires delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a positive, professional demeanor in all interactions with customers, clients, and colleagues. Responsibilities Complete scheduled service requests within the scheduled timeframe. Install and service commercial steel frames, steel/wood doors, and architectural hardware. Perform onsite modification work on steel doors and frames if needed. Maintain professional demeanor and appearance with clients and customers while performing onsite work. Complete installation/service with as little disruption or impact to surroundings as possible. Carry out all work performed in the safest possible manner, following all onsite safety guidelines and requirements. Manage assigned schedule and document service and installation activities. Communicate with Project Manager or Salesperson if any issues arise before, after or while onsite. Repair, troubleshoot, and retrofit existing openings and products. Conduct service calls to assess issues and determine proper course of action. Complete service onsite if able using available tools, product and equipment. Communicate with Service Manager or Salesperson to assist in ordering product needed to complete service work.
