General Manager - Ginger's Click here to APPLY for the General Manager position in Ginger's Ginger's is downtown's only gay bar, entertainment, and community space and we are looking for a new GM! If you have a background in and a passion for leading and managing teams, the General Manager position at Ginger's may be a good fit for you. We are looking for persons who have experience in a busy bar, hotel, or restaurant, but other work history may be considered with appropriate managerial experience. Working evenings and weekends may be required, the standard work week is Tuesday through Saturday. Experience booking entertainment is a plus.     The General Manager is ultimately responsible for all bar operations. You should be able to work independently, effectively communicate managerial objectives, effectively complete detail-oriented administrative tasks, and manage a team in a fair manner. Success in this position requires speedy completion of administrative duties and strong attention to detail. The General Manager will report directly to the Operations Director. Responsibilities: Maintain inventory controls Create cocktail menus under the direction of the Beverage Director Determine employees’ schedules and manage labor costs Ensure bar is well-stocked and clean Mixing and serving alcoholic beverages Track customer behavior and sales Maintain budget and monitor beverage costs Oversee planning for special events Liaise with the events team Appropriately delegate tasks to staff Purchase liquor and other supplies Oversee staff, including bartenders and barbacks Hire, train, promote, and, when necessary, discipline staff Provide input on décor and marketing, including social media and other forms of publicity Qualifications: Managerial experience in a bar, restaurant or equivalent Great bartending skills Experience booking entertainment is an advantage Record of critical thinking skills Strong interpersonal skills Attention to detail and good organizational skills Customer service focus Knowledge of food, beverage, and hospitality industries Calm under pressure Comfortable with hospitality and sales technology platforms Familiarity with Craftable, Yelp Restaurant Manager, and Square for Restaurants is nice but not required Degree in business, management, hospitality, or equivalent is a plus Benefits: Compensation up to $62000 + tips Company-sponsored medical/dental/vision benefits Commuter check tax benefits Matching 401(k) after the first year Resumes without a cover letter stating why you’re interested and why you might be a good member of our team will not be considered. We're looking to hire several HOST's/Take-Outs for our Cracker's and Co. Cafe, located at 1325 N. Greenfield Rd. Mesa. That's the north east corner of Greenfield and Brown rd., Mesa Az. You're a critical part of the restaurant as you establish the "First Impression" of the restaurant, control the flow of business and ensure all guest's receive great service. Crackers Cafe is a locally owned group of family style, full-service sit-down restaurants. It's a well-established company, being in business over 41 years with a very a large number of loyal, repeat and wonderful customers. We serve breakfast and lunch only, so there is NO late nights. Usually everyone is out of the building by around 3pm. QUALIFICATIONS: Must have FULL TIME AVAILABLITY as we're open seven days a week and we prefer prior restaurant host experience BUT will consider training the right person without experience. Who's the right person?
