Guardian has an immediate need for a Maintenance Assistant to join our experienced and committed team at Las Flores Apartments! Las Flores is an affordable (LIHTC) apartment community in Oregon City, OR with 171 units. This is an entry level role. We are seeking a motivated individual to fill the role of Maintenance Assistant to support in the required cleaning and minor property maintenance necessary to maintain curb appeal and the overall appearance and quality of the property. This will include processing work orders as assigned by the Community Manager/s and/or Maintenance Lead/Supervisor/s which may include routine maintenance of property/ies and apartment units. This position is responsible for ensuring that all maintenance work is done in compliance with OSHA regulations and Guardian policies and procedures. We are willing to train the right individual, so this is an excellent entry level opportunity for individuals interested in a career in property maintenance. Schedule: 40 hours / week; Monday - Friday, 8AM-5PM Compensation: $23.00-$24.00 / hr Depending on Experience + Benefits! Possess basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and product use. Possess basic knowledge of building and grounds maintenance such as changing lightbulbs, raking. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. Attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to speak, read and write in English. Ability to communicate effectively and in a timely manner, both verbally and in writing. Ability to complete company training requirements for this position within pre-determined deadlines and attend other training sessions as required. Possess basic computer-literacy and willingness to complete regular tasks using standard computer or web-based technology. Preferred Qualifications: The qualifications listed below are representative, but not exclusive of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Previous janitorial, cleaning, or light building maintenance experience. Ability to a minimum of 50 lbs. Comfortable on ladders at heights of 15 feet.
