Description

Presidio is seeking a Server Engineer for a customer in Center City Philadelphia. The preferred candidate would be local to the Greater Philadelphia area and able to travel into the office 3 days a week. This individual will be a member of IT Help Desk Team and ensure systems are operational, configured appropriately and performing correctly. Responsibilities: Server operations: Measure the power and performance of various server platforms including both internal and competitive systems. Responsible for server assembly, operation, SW installation and debug/repair of hardware. Setup, configure, run maintenance, and lifecycle of Storage and Data Backup solutions. Patch management testing and coordination including development and testing security patch packages. Participate in technical on-call rotation. Installation and maintenance: Install parts (e.g. processors, memory, storage, NICs, etc.) for both rack and bench systems. Perform routine data collection and maintain systems, racks, power, network, and remote access. Serve as a key enabler for offsite resources by resetting systems, swapping out parts, and providing overall scheduling for server usage. Maintain lab server and network infrastructure and conduct automated tests on Clients Software/Hardware components. Configure Windows, setup PC from scratch, and troubleshoot hardware and software. Load drivers in Windows. Assist in maintaining IP Addressing database. Assist in maintenance and auditing of all monitoring systems. Firm Building:  Active engagement in department-specific and firm-wide initiatives in order to expand capabilities, create solutions to unmet business needs, improve user experience, or develop more efficient processes. Ability and willingness to contribute to the advancement of team, office and business capabilities. Other duties as required by the position. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent experience required. 3+ years of experience working as a Server Technician, Network Administrator or Windows Server Administrator required. 3+ years' experience in Windows, MS-Exchange, MS Office 365, basic networking and overall end-user support required. Excellent customer service skills including the ability to work with all levels of employee. Must possess a sense of urgency and work well under pressure. Ability to work independently, remotely or as a team. Ability to participate in on call rotation that may include evenings and weekends. POSITION SUMMARY: The Database Technician supports Tribal participation in major infrastructure projects by overseeing database management, project coordination, and financial tracking under the supervision of the Project Manager.
