GOOD STUFF: Remote start plus electric windows, locks, mirrors, a/c (blows cold) , heater, am/fm/cd player. intermittent wipers front and rear, new front rotors and pads, rear shoes last year, new rear shocks about three years ago, Tranny oil still nice & pink, crankcase oil and filter changed every 3-4K miles. Does not burn oil however valve cover leaks a little. Also oil drips down onto passenger side of front suspension and axle housing as oil filter is pointed down...crappy design by Korean engineers. I usually try and put a small bowl of some type or rags under filter while unscrewing the damn thing. Leather interior with no rips, tears or stains. Is very reliable, has been used for back and forth to town and then errands in town. NOT SO GOOD STUFF: Engine light is on. Has been on for 9 yrs. When purchased the Sportage we replaced some of the sensors under hood. Light went out...came back on. Mechanic doing the work dug a little deeper and surised newer sensors were 'faster' than older ones, Eng Control Module had problems reading different sensors and turned on eng light. He said no problem with engine, everything okay so we've been driving it with eng light on for 9 yrs. 4X4 works intermittently. It is a vacuum/electric locking hubs arrangement. Last time I fixed it the vacuum hose (hoses) had sprung a leak. I think it is the same thing again. Anti lock brake light is on...again been like that for 9 yrs. The system was chattering brakes every now and then during normal stops. Pulled 30 amp fuse, brakes are fine, brake light is on....again for 9 years. VIN# KNDJA7232Y5661240
