Overview We are looking for individuals with great attention to detail to join our Housekeeping team as a Laundry Attendant. The ideal candidate creates a memorable experience for our guests through their attention to detail and the care they take in preparing and maintaining the guest linens. This role truly is the “Heart of the House” and provides key services for our guests to truly relax and enjoy their stay. A great housekeeping team can make a guest stay go from OK to Outstanding! YOUR ROLE: • Sort all daily linen. • Loading and unloading all dryers in the proper manner, to include the cleaning of lint traps in dryers when needed. • Operating the linen spreader, towel/linen folder and ironer in the proper manner. • Operating a commercial washer/extractor in a relief capacity as directed. • Reporting any problems or malfunctions of laundry equipment to a supervisor. • Utilizing disposable gloves and the necessary protection while working in the laundry area. • Assisting other laundry personnel with their job assignments when necessary. • Maintaining a clean and organized work area. • Turning off equipment prior to leaving at the end of each shift. • Assist pick-up with loading of closets when necessary. Able to accomplish projects in a timely manner. Demonstrate ability to maintain a high level of output without sacrificing quality. Housekeeping experience desirable. Time management skills. Ability to work on feet for most of the shift. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to move, traverse, position self to reach corners on floors and high places; observe conditions, detect odors, position, and navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs. in tight spaces.
