For your afternoon tea, British style, a Crownford Burslem china tea service. Vintage. English. This is a 21 piece English china afternoon tea set consisting of 6 teacups, saucers and side plates, a creamer, sugar bowl and serving plate. Burgandy and gold color with gilt lines. Each piece is stamped “ Crownford Burslem Made in England" with a crown and wreath. The cups are approximately 3” tall, the side plates are 7” in diameter, the jug is 4 1/2“ high, the sugar bowl is 5” in diameter and the serving plate is 9" in diameter. The tea set was rarely used. There is a small chip on the underside of two saucers and some minor crazing on one saucer, otherwise the entire set is in excellent condition. It is rare to find a complete service like this. It was family owned and was brought to the United States from the United Kingdom in 1984. $90.
