PERSONAL PRIVATE RESIDENTIAL CHEF Location: Birmingham, Michigan – Private Residence Schedule: Full-Time, 5 Days per Week (Flexible Schedule; Occasional Evenings or Weekends as Needed) Compensation: Competitive; Upwards of $100,000 Commensurate with Experience Start Date: After September 15, 2025 Position Summary A high-profile individual is seeking a talented, discreet, and experienced Personal Private Residential Chef to prepare healthy, customized meals for a private household. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background along with excellent communication and organizational skills. Must have the ability to cater to the client’s specific dietary preferences and lifestyle needs. This role requires professionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to provide world-class meals in a private, luxury environment. Key Responsibilities • Plan and prepare high-quality fresh, personalized meals (breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner) according to the client’s tastes, dietary requirements, and nutritional goals using appropriate cooking techniques and plating for family and guests • Design weekly menus in collaboration with the client or household manager; prepare meals from scratch with a focus on clean, health-conscious, and gourmet cuisine • Grocery shop for or source the freshest, highest-quality ingredients • Ensure proper food storage, inventory management, pantry organization and minimal waste • Accommodate guests when entertaining; provide elevated dining experiences as needed for occasional dinner parties or holiday events • Maintain an impeccably clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment; follow strict hygiene and safety protocols • Handle kitchen equipment and appliances with care and precision • Label and store meals/snacks for off days or when the client is traveling • Work with other staff as needed to ensure seamless household operations • On occasion, flexibility to travel or cook off-site events, if requested Requirements • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a private chef or in a fine-dining environment • Culinary degree or formal training from an accredited institution preferred • Deep knowledge of nutrition, special diets (e.g., gluten-free, keto, vegan, etc.), and food allergies • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in schedule or guest preferences • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; flexible, calm under pressure, and committed to excellence • Discreet, professional, and respectful of client confidentiality • Must pass a background check; references required Preferred Qualities • Experience working in high-profile or ultra-high-net-worth households • Knowledge of global cuisines and fine wine pairings • Ability to prepare elegant meals for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings • Comfortable working solo and/or alongside household staff • Punctual and reliable Additional Details • This is a live-out position (chef leaves the residence at the end of each workday) • Non-smoking environment ________________________________________ Application Instructions Interested candidates should submit resume with references via email: privateresidentialchef@gmail.com
