Overview We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our dedicated team in Waipahu. In this essential role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and electrical systems on a fleet of semi-trucks, trailers, and buses. You will ensure all equipment is kept in top working condition by performing regular maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and ensuring safety standards are met at all times. Key Responsibilities: Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines (Caterpillar, Cummins, Kenworth) to maintain optimal performance. Perform preventive maintenance on tractors, trailers, and buses to minimize downtime. Conduct full vehicle assessments and execute timely repairs on both scheduled and unscheduled service calls. Maintain detailed service records of work completed, parts replaced, and maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance with safety and company standards. Monitor and adhere to routine maintenance schedules, making sure all equipment receives necessary attention on time. Communicate findings and repair needs effectively with the maintenance supervisor and team to prioritize and allocate resources appropriately. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in diesel technology preferred. 3 years of experience working as a diesel mechanic, with experience on semi-trucks, trailers, and buses. Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and repair equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Must be able to obtain DBIDS, TWIC, and CDL. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects and materials, often exceeding 50 pounds. Kassirer Sports is run by a former professional Wimbledon tennis player. We are hiring skilled, engaging, reliable, sports coaches to teach our After School Fall 2025 Sessions. Sessions run throughout the school year. We are off for school holidays. We have ongoing classes and new sessions starting in January. We are hiring Tennis, Basketball, Golf, Soccer, Badminton, Volleyball and Pickleball Coaches to teach youth ages 5-10 for an after school program at local elementary schools all over San Francisco Bay! Shifts vary per school. Examples are: 12:50pm-2:00pm; 2:30pm-3:45pm; 3:30pm-5pm. We always include 15 minutes of set up in each shift, so minimum shift is 1.25 hours. This is part time work with a flexible schedule. Coaches drive to schools in their community to teach group classes after school dismissal. Coaches can teach 1 class per afternoon, Monday - Friday.
