Great opportunity for a self starter and motivated individual who can work alone and independently and with others in a small family-owned business. We pack and ship items and we need someone that can make custom wood crates and boxes and pick-up items as need be including trips to the southeast coast of Florida. We help guide and train you but it’s really not difficult. Having a history driving a forklift, working with wood and or making boxes is a plus but not mandatory. Crew members for Utility Pole Inspection Crews. Work consists of digging 18" deep around Utility poles to expose the base so the wood can be inspected. This is physical labor, outdoors all day. Currently the work is in Ohio, Michigan, North Carolina, Alabama, Maryland, West Virginia with many other states after the first of the year. No experience required but keep in mind this is outdoor physical labor. Other requirements, State issued photo ID, SS Card, Lace up work boots and appropriate work clothes, long pants(jeans etc) appropriate shirt without offensive logos. All PPE including gloves provided by company. pre employment drug testing, paid for by company. $20.00 per hr, overtime after 40 with plenty available. $35.00 per day per diem(tax free) for every work day over 6 hrs. Paid out weekly with paycheck. Benefits available, Health insurance, 401k, company savings plan, company stock purchase options, PTO accrued. Paid holidays. Monthly bonus paid out based on Safety/Quality and meeting production standards. Hotel paid for by company (two per room) Transportation to first starting location provided by company. The usual tasks of property upkeep may entail for example check water gauges -- leaking pipes? clean gutters when necessary perform small repairs like leaking faucets fix leaking, snake clogged pipes purchase materials (like chaises lounges) cut brushes power-wash pool-deck, driveway install/remove pool covers storm preparation: move patio furniture to garage, etc. tidy property after storm, clear debris, furniture back to patio paint interior and/or exterior adjust sticking doors rewire AV, TV install antenna or dish We request that our places be kept in good shape and that our guests not be disturbed if possible. Working hours are completely flexible. When to perform the necessary and required tasks is completely up to our person in charge. However, in (the rare) case of emergency, like a busted pipe, only quick help is good help. Work amounts to maybe a 10 hours a week, but in season less can be done as places are occupied. Our go-to person is usually not supervised, so the ability to do work autonomously is mandatory. Obviously our point person must not be shy with tools, ought to be ready for various types of home repair and improvement, be it basic plumbing -- change a faucet --, basic electric -- change a light bulb, find the faulty breaker --, basic home entertainment -- why don't the TV work?
