Dialog Cafe is a small family-owned cafe in the heart of West Hollywood, adjacent to the Sunset Strip. We have served our community for over 15 years, providing the highest quality coffee, pastries, and food. We source locally from farmer’s markets, and use vendors who also take an immense amount of pride in their finished product. Our goal is to provide excellent service to our community while also creating a space that feels like home for all people. We are looking for people to join our team who share the same core values, have a passion for cooking great food, are willing to learn new tasks, and can work in a fast-paced environment. Prior kitchen experience mandatory Part Time Position. $19.65, plus tips Must have open availability and be willing to do at least one closing shift a week Must be able to work weekends! Responsibilities -Check and complete mise en place and pars and set-up/close down station -Run the day to day operation of assigned work and station on the cold line (Bowls, salads, toasts, plates) -Communicate with supervisors and kitchen manager regarding menu items, problem situations or shortages -Work closely with standard recipes and plate presentations in order to maintain standards of quality in production and presentation -Maintain a good working relationship with other employees -Store items properly at the end of the shift -Ensure a clean, neat and organized work area -Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times -Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by supervisors -Follow all guidelines for timely food service to guests Qualifications -one or more years of experience working on a kitchen line -Knowledge of local California ingredients -Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities -Must be willing to work weekends and holidays -Candidates must have excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills -This position requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs We are looking forward to meeting you!
