Heavy-Duty Wrecker Drivers Needed!!! (Van Horn)
We are seeking reliable and skilled Heavy-Duty Wrecker Drivers to join our team. A VALID & CLEAN commercial driver's license (CDL) is required for this position. This is a Drug Free work environment. Ideal candidates will be responsible to respond to traffic accidents and incidents where motor vehicles are needing help to get back on the road. We also will be offering Commissions. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service. The Driver will operate various types of vehicles, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and more.
Responsibilities
• Operate heavy-duty tow trucks, wreckers, and flatbeds to tow and recover disabled, overturned, or damaged commercial vehicles.
• Perform accident recovery operations, including up-righting overturned vehicles, load recovery, and winch-outs.
• Provide on-site assistance to stranded drivers, including jump starts, tire changes, and minor mechanical support when applicable.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency responders at accident scenes.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with customers, law enforcement, and dispatch.
• Accurately document job details, obtain required signatures, and explain services rendered to customers.
• Use mobile dispatch systems, GPS, and to receive job details and report job progress.
• Complete tow tickets, incident reports, and damage documentation with detail and accuracy.
• Clean, fuel, and maintain tow trucks and related equipment on a daily basis.
• Report mechanical issues or damage to supervisors immediately.
Skills
• Bilingual a Plus
• Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with a focus on tow truck wrecker operations.
