Peninsula Powder Coating seeks a full-time Maintenance Worker to join their team in Baraga, Michigan. The ideal person for this position is someone experienced with general maintenance (carpentry, welding, electrical and/or mechanical maintenance) and able to maintain equipment, buildings and grounds. WHAT YOU WILL DO. • Inspect, repair and maintain facilities including painting, plumbing, electrical repair (replace outlets, ballasts, fans, etc.), heating and cooling systems, grass cutting and trimming, snow removal, and minor construction jobs (cement work, general carpentry, general welding, etc.). • Maintain inventory of repair supplies and materials. • Perform maintenance and preventive maintenance duties as scheduled. • Maintain effective and professional communication with staff. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, and comfortable with physically demanding work. This role primarily involves cleaning and maintaining totes, keeping the warehouse organized, and assisting drivers on collection routes when needed. Schedule Typical schedule is 15 to 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 5:00 am and 1:00 pm. Compensation $18.00 per hour Responsibilities Wash and sanitize 32- and 64-gallon compost totes. Keep warehouse, equipment, and surrounding areas clean and safe. Help load and unload totes of food waste when assisting drivers on route.
