Our ideal candidate will work well in multiple software languages as part of a rapid pace, collaborative, small-team environment consisting of Scientists, Engineers, and Developers and be able to prototype and develop advanced algorithms leading to eventual integration in C++ on Linux operating systems as part of government frameworks. Responsibilities Research new algorithms and analysis techniques for remote sensor data exploitation Demonstrate fluent, idiomatic mastery of Python and C++; comfortable with software design and architecture Develop proof-of-concept signal processing, image processing, and data exploitation tools in Python Improve Python tools surrounding our machine learning, modeling, and simulation efforts Characterize quality/performance of algorithms and sensor systems Work as part of an Agile team and contribute to shared tools Other duties as assigned Requirements A Bachelor's degree in the physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science. Professional Skills Development Skills: Strong foundation in Java, with deep understanding of JVM internals. Hands-on experience with core middleware technologies such as Redis, Kafka, and gRPC. Proficiency in frameworks and technologies like SpringMVC, Netty, Spring Cloud, and Service Mesh. Expertise in design patterns, strong coding best practices, and excellent documentation skills. Database Knowledge Familiarity with the design and development of mainstream relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, Cassandra, and MongoDB. Distributed Architecture Expertise Proficient in common distributed architecture patterns and capable of proposing effective solutions for various business scenarios. Concurrency & Performance Optimization Expertise in transaction concurrency control and extensive experience in performance tuning (e.g., OS I/O optimization, network optimization). Ability to design locking mechanisms and address read/write amplification issues in high-concurrency environments. Seeking a full-time Enterprise Applications Engineer for an on-site role. This person will be responsible for administration, monitoring and maintenance of the Accounting enterprise applications. Responsibilities: Administer and support the Firm's Elite 3E platform Serves as the subject matter expert and technical resource for the Firm’s financial system both within the financial group and the IT department by providing expertise on issues of functionality, integration, performance/troubleshooting, design, deployment etc. Administer all other systems in the Firm’s financial platform including various supporting systems in the 3E Elite application and tools including (but not limited to) Paperless Performa, IDE, Design Gallery (EDG), Workspace. Responsible for the administration and support tasks related to the Elite 3E system. This can include but is not limited to: Scheduled month-end maintenance Upgrades to 3E, Workspace, and other related software systems Coordinate with database and application administrators on projects which are related to the financial system Responsible for development deliverables of Elite 3E customizations (forms, inquiries, reports, metrics, etc.) with quality and consistent integration between key financial applications and Document customization solutions.
