Summary: Working as part of the Manufacturing & Operations team and under the supervision of the Chief Batching Officer, the Batching Assistant will operate equipment that blends raw materials to create food and beverage products by weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients to client specifications. As needed, the Batching Assistant will also cross-train as a Production Support to operate and/or assist with production lines, including but not limited to the high-speed canning/beverage production line, the bottle filling production line, powder flavor-making production line, and labeling line to create, produce and package products while working on a team. Quality • Perform set-up of batching area, including tools and equipment needed. • Perform physical inventory of materials before and after production and document • Communicate any ingredient availability or ingredient quality issues immediately to the Processing Supervisor. • Perform cleaning and sanitation of batching equipment and fillers (CIP’s, foaming equipment and hand brushing). • Properly clean and seal all ingredient containers prior to returning to the proper ingredient storage areas. • Adhere to all food safety policies and procedures. • Operate forklift to load/move various ingredients, following all safety procedures. • Maintain general housekeeping and quality in all areas of batching, production, and any additional areas. • Accurately completes inspection sheets based on overall product quality. • Provide status report during shift handoff (batches produced, quality and results of batching) • Must have proficient knowledge of the batching flow to production. • Report non-compliance and food safety issues to management. • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time in a manufacturing environment. • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, must use appropriate means to accomplish this, using pallet jack and/or forklift, as necessary. • Ability to visually inspect products and materials.
