Colossus, a cozy and vibrant cafe in San Pedro, CA, is seeking an experienced General Manager to help us deliver outstanding service and maintain our reputation as a neighborhood favorite.   What You'll Be Doing ●     Oversight/management of all staff, mentorship, and indirect management of other staff members through example ●     Giving verbal and written warnings to employees when needed ●     Conducting 6 month and 1-year reviews of direct employees ●     Attend weekly manager meetings to review current food costs, general upkeep, staffing and culture. Contribute constructive feedback and solutions to further a culture of community hospitality, tolerance and cooperation, and collaborative growth for the company, our customers, and our community. ●     Upkeep and monitoring of all cafe equipment, regular communication with other leaders and owners regarding upkeep, including: ○     Espresso Machine and Grinders ○     Batch Brewer ○     Refrigeration and Ice Machine ○     Cafe Furniture and general appearance and upkeep of dining room, retail wall, and bread/pastry display. ●     Manager responsible for baristas and service staff: ○     Daily schedule ○     Cleaning tasks/side work ○     Break Schedule, ensure employees take lunch breaks and 10-minute breaks when needed ○     Uniform Compliance ○     Customer service performance ○     General job performance ●     Ensure that all labor numbers fit into the appropriate budget for Colossus and the sustained growth and prosperity of the restaurant long term. ●     Review timesheets weekly and ensure they are accurate in time for payroll. ●     Participate in the interview and hiring process.
