Description

Title: House Manager & Family Assistant (with Meal Prep Support) Location: Dover, NH 03820 Employment Type: Part-time (20–25 hours/week, with potential to grow full-time) Proposed Start Date: ASAP Compensation: $45–55/hour based on experience Requirements: Valid driver’s license, pass background check, reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement provided) Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 5 hours/day (Late mornings to afternoons. Occasional evenings to help drop-off/pick-up of children.) Description: We are a busy, intentional family of five with three older children (ages 17, 14, and 10) who attend private school. Both parents have full schedules: Mom works from home, runs her own business, while Dad’s career requires frequent travel. Afternoons bring the bustle of sports, schoolwork, and activities, and our home thrives when there’s structure and support. We live in a large, well-loved home with a gentle, timid golden retriever weighing 60 pounds. What we’re looking for is the central point of coordination—a House Manager & Family Assistant who can bring energy, organization, and follow-through to help manage the logistics of our home. This includes staying on top of household systems, coordinating vendors, tackling errands, supporting laundry and meal prep, and helping our kids stay accountable with routines. Key Responsibilities: -Household Management & Organization -Maintain household systems (closets, storage, pantry, décor, seasonal swaps). -Reset and tidy rooms daily; ensure the home is prepped for cleaning days. -Support family calendar management and reminders. -Help kids with accountability and guidelines around completing chores (i.e. loading/unloading dishwasher, vacuuming high traffic areas, wiping surfaces, etc.). -Prepare for family events, holidays, and guest visits. -Pack/unpack for travel; manage seasonal transitions. Errands & Inventory Management -Track and restock pantry, fridge, toiletries, and household supplies, etc. -Manage running household supply list and coordinate orders (Amazon, Costco, Target, etc.). -Run errands, manage returns, handle deliveries, sort mail and break down packages. Meal Planning & Preparation -Plan and prepare 3–5 healthy dinners per week (primarily gluten-free, though not exclusively). Prep lunches for adults using leftovers from meals. -Grocery delivery coordination and in-store grocery shopping for specialty items. -Maintain kitchen tidiness after meal prep. Laundry & Linen Care -Support the housekeeper with laundry overflow. -Help kids with laundry systems and accountability. -Iron, steam, and organize linens/clothing as needed. Pet Care -Ensure dog supplies are stocked. -Schedule and coordinate vet/grooming appointments. -Pick up pet medications when needed. Vehicle Management -Ensure family vehicles are fueled, cleaned, and organized. -Coordinate maintenance, inspections, detailing, and seasonal tire changes. -Occasionally transporting racing tires and equipment. Vendor & Property Oversight -Liaise with vendors (cleaners, landscapers, contractors, repair services, etc.). -Manage schedules for maintenance and seasonal needs. -Assist with planning for a lake house renovations and research/vet property management options. Family Support & Child Assistance -Occasional school/activity pick-ups or drop-offs. -Provide back-up childcare support when needed. -Support kids in staying organized and independent. Administrative & Personal Assistant Support -Manage family schedules and calendars. -Assist with errands, gift purchasing, and volunteer/fundraising event prep. -Provide support for business/home content creation. Who You Are: You’re proactive, organized, and confident in taking ownership of household logistics—often connecting the dots before we even ask. You have strong executive functioning skills, can juggle projects, errands, and meal planning with ease, and aren’t afraid to be assertive when following up with vendors or managing contractors. You balance being collaborative with working independently, and you bring a calm, steady presence that helps our family function with more ease and flow. How to Apply: If interested, please email with the following: -A brief letter about why you’re a strong fit for this role. -Your updated resume. -At least 3 references with contact information.
