Job Summary: The Conventional Driver family of positions requires a current valid CDL, a satisfactory MVR (Motor Vehicle Record), an up-to-date medical card, and one years’ driving experience or equivalent classroom qualification. Must have a neat, clean appearance and the ability to pass a DOT (Department of Transportation) exam. Schedule: 4 day work week, Monday through Saturday, rotating day off + Sunday off.  Coverage area: Metro Boston Area. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the safe operation of the Company vehicle while complying with all company, State and Federal regulations. Have a good, working knowledge of the assigned delivery route and be familiar with product handling requirements. Must represent the Company in a courteous, ethical and professional manner at all times. Must keep a vehicle operation log and report any necessary maintenance or other problems to the Distribution Supervisor daily and complete all necessary reports as required by DOT and HP Hood LLC. Deliver all products ordered in a timely manner and advise the Distribution Supervisor of any recommendations for improvements or problems needing attention on a daily basis. Keep accurate, daily records of accounts and collected cash. Must be able to work independently while supporting the Distribution Department. Work in a cooperative manner with managers, supervisors and peers. General Requirements: Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Able to demonstrate knowledge of safety areas reviewed in the safety orientation program. Execute assigned duties with minimal supervision. Perform assigned duties satisfactorily and in a timely manner. Maintain a clean & safe work environment. Perform all other related duties as assigned. Opening for an experienced Amada Punch Press Operator. The position is responsible for setting up and operating a turret punch press to produce precision sheet metal parts according to customer specifications. Experience with Amada Vipros 358 is beneficial. Our company is looking to add an experienced Press Brake Operator familiar with large and small production runs on Amada and Cincinnati equipment. Must be able to work alone and in tandem with others Monday-Friday (we work four ten-hour days with OT on Fridays). Must be able to read prints/drawings and have a mastery of basic math as it applies to measurements to the thousandths of an inch (.001). Must be able to lift and do repetitive movements full time, 40+ hours a week. Must take pride in their work and understand the difference between aerospace tolerance and duct work (no dis-respect to the HVAC industry). Must have the capacity to use computer controls and make adjustments as necessary to maintain tolerance as tight as ±0.005in. Must have reliable transportation and maintain regular attendance. This person will have the opportunity to work on up to 10 different work orders every day, producing different parts from a variety of different gauge metals. Here’s what you’ll be doing: • Receive work orders with production instructions and work with our Tool & Die and Materials Teams to get the brake press and the work station ready for production. • Inspect the set-up and run quality tests on the brake press. • Run the Brake Press while monitoring quality, consistency, and compliance of the parts being produced. • Troubleshoot production issues and adjust the set-up to fulfill the requirements of the work order. • Log work order progress and provide information to Quality, as requested. • Remove the tool and reset the brake press set-up for the next work order. • Be flexible and versatile to fill-in in other areas to meet the needs of ever-changing bottlenecks. You’ll love this job if you have/are: • 5 – 10 years of experience in the metal manufacturing industry, preferably in a job shop environment • 5 – 8 years of experience operating a brake press, preferably an Amada • 3+ years of experience completing set-ups on brake presses, preferably an Amada • Committed to contributing to the team effort • Flexible and willing to assist the team in other areas when needed Position Details: • Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm or 4:30pm – 3:00am • Wage Range: $25 - $35 / hour 2nd Shift offers up to 10% shift differential.
