Energetic, stable person looking initially for part-time work which can grow to a full-time position. Assist in the growth of a manufacturing/distribution company in Rancho Cordova. We design, manufacture, market and sell scientific equipment. Job involves the fulfillment of online orders, assembly of products, operation of laser cutting machines, packaging for shipment and other general warehouse duties. Must have good communication skills. Some lifting involved, occasionally of up to 70 lbs. Must be able to work at least 20 hrs per week, Monday-Friday.

We are seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee all warehouse operations for our live events. This role will ensure equipment is properly prepped, packed, loaded, and returned in good condition, and will be the final checkpoint before projects head to jobsites. Key Responsibilities: Manage warehouse staff (once hired), assign tasks, schedules, and performance reviews. Oversee shipping/receiving, truck loading, driver scheduling, and fleet compliance. Maintain inventory accuracy, track new and repaired equipment, and ensure gear is show-ready. Enforce safety standards and operational efficiencies to reduce overtime, re-rentals, and errors. Hold a valid Class B CDL and step in as a driver when needed. Report directly to the General Manager and collaborate with project managers and production teams. Qualifications: Prior experience in warehouse or logistics management, preferably in live event production. Strong leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of event production equipment. CDL Class B (Illinois) required. Schedule & Compensation: This is not a standard 9–5 role; hours depend on event needs. Compensation is based on skills, efficiency, and team management.

Accurately pack a minimum of 50 unique orders per hour into the correct packaging for shipment. Maintain a clean work area and sweep, re-stock, and clean the warehouse daily. Assist with product testing, repacking, and sorting of defective merchandise. Assist with various other related tasks as assigned by the Floor Supervisor or Warehouse Manager. Requirements Basic Requirements: Education: High School diploma, GED, or equivalent. Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license with a good driving record. Must possess high school level math and reading skills and be able to read and write English. Must be comfortable working on his/her feet for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and move items up to 50 pounds on a regular basis sometimes on raised surfaces. Must be able to comfortably bend, kneel, and reach for items on deep shelves. Must be able to carry heavy items up and down ladders and step stools. Preferred Qualifications: 1 or 2 years of professional industry experience working in a busy warehouse or distribution facility. An appreciation for simple solutions to complex problems. An ability to build professional, constructive, and effective working relationships as well as a demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and be assertive in implementing successful management strategies. An ability to set objectives and goals and organize work appropriately to meet and exceed goals. Possess strong organizational and time management skills. Benefits Pay range: $17.00 per hour.
