We are looking to hire an experienced Lead Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Eugene. This is a full-time, year-round position with steady work in a largely indoor heated shop. We are looking for a skilled professional who takes pride in their trade and wants to be valued for their expertise.Lead the maintenance and repair of a diverse fleet (diesel trucks, heavy equipment, light-duty vehicles, and trailers). Diagnose and repair diesel, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.Work with operations staff to ensure equipment reliability. Mentor junior mechanics and be the go-to expert in the shop. 5–10 years of professional mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engines and heavy equipment or truck repair. Strong troubleshooting and repair skills across diesel, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Prior experience mentoring or coordinating with other mechanics is preferred. Commitment to safety, reliability, and high-quality workmanship. Prefer Class A CDL but not required. Year-round stability with no seasonal gaps. The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of project management experience in structural steel and misc metals. Verifiable references required. We are looking for a part-time diesel mechanic to perform repairs and maintenance on medium and heavy duty trucks. This position would be 10 to 20 hours per week with flexible hours available. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing diesel trucks, communicating about problems and progress of repairs. The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience and is self-motivated and a good communicator. Competitive pay depends on experience. This position would probably be workable around another full-time or part-time appointment with flexible hours. Ability to work on small engines, including chainsaws is a plus.
