🐾 Part-Time Pet Care Attendant / Veterinary Assistant (Residential – (burlingame)

Schedule: Part-time, approximately 4–5 hours per day, 5 days a week Shift: Swing shift, typically 4 PM – 9 PM or 5 PM – 10 PM ⸻ About the Role We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and compassionate animal care professional to join our household team on a long-term, stable basis. The position involves caring for our family pets within a private residence — ensuring their comfort, cleanliness, and well-being each day. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a veterinary, boarding, or grooming environment, and be capable of exercising sound judgment while working independently. ⸻ Key Responsibilities • Provide daily, attentive care to household pets (dogs and cats) • Prepare and serve meals per dietary requirements and schedules • Clean pet pads, feeding areas, and maintain overall hygiene • Bathe and groom pets as needed • Monitor pet behavior, appetite, and health conditions • Administer oral or topical medication under instruction • Accompany or assist with veterinary appointments • Maintain simple daily notes or reports for pet activities and care ⸻ Qualifications • Experience in animal care, vet clinic, kennel, or grooming facility preferred • Knowledge of animal health, nutrition, and basic first aid • Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently • Physically capable of handling small to medium-large dogs • Good communication skills; able to observe and report details accurately • Must have reliable transportation and strong sense of responsibility ⸻ Compensation & Stability • $26–$32 per hour DOE (depending on experience) • Guaranteed minimum weekly hours for steady income • Long-term employment opportunity with consistent scheduling • Supportive, respectful working environment in a private household ⸻ How to Apply Please include the following in your reply: • A short introduction about yourself and your experience with animal care • Any relevant work history (vet clinic, boarding, grooming, or similar) • Your preferred shift time and availability
