What We’re Looking For: Cloud9 is looking for a passionate and talented Social Media Coordinator - League of Legends (Contractor, Part Time) to assist with game coverage for our LTA team across social platforms. The ideal candidate is someone with a deep understanding of the League of Legends esports scene, a social media enthusiast with a proven track record of successful game coverage, and able to foster meaningful connections with online communities. This is a remote part time contractor position open to candidates around the world. What You’ll Do: Manage live game coverage across different social media platforms, including Discord, Twitter (X), Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc. Manage live game coverage for both Cloud9 Kia’s matches and other major League of Legends events. Assist with executing comprehensive social media strategies aligned with overall marketing objectives. Ideate and pitch short-form content and deliverable ideas that reflect the team’s brand and relevant community trends. Curate relevant and trending content to maintain an active and relevant online presence. Foster a positive online community by actively engaging with followers, responding to comments, and addressing inquiries or concerns. Requirements 1+ years of experience in social media management. Ability to work flexible hours to align with Pacific Time deadlines. Fluent in English, written and spoken. Fluency in other languages is a plus, especially Spanish and Portuguese. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate game coverage. Proven experience in managing social media platforms (Discord, Twitter (X), Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc) Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, preferably Photoshop and Premiere Pro. Deep understanding of League of Legends, preferably plays League of Legends: Ability to recognize in-game moments, follow the competitive meta, and accurately identify what's happening on screen in real time. Strong grasp of the game’s culture, history, memes, and legacy. Strong attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High empathy and ability to self-regulate emotions when under increasing stress. Ability to apply intelligence to practical, real-world scenarios, where a “book solution” doesn’t necessarily exist. Strong active listening skills with an emphasis on understanding. The artful ability to deliver clear and logical thoughts in response. High growth-oriented mindset with a strong internal need for achievement. The inclination to question the status quo in pursuit of better information or more innovative solutions.
